Fractionated coral
A new addition to the "Corals" collection. The segmented Coral is the first coral to be studied by the artist with the interruption of the repetitive gesture in the violent dripping process; instead of the entirety and length of paint splatters. The gesture is therefore imparted with attention and care in its execution, creating light but always three-dimensional "threads" of color that the canvas absorbs and makes its "own."
The blue color evokes the sea, almost as if the painter wanted to focus on the preservation of the sea through its most endangered inhabitant, the Coral...
