Evolution
For some time, the artist has been studying and working with various types of supports that he uses as a base for creating his works. Fabrics, used both as the base of the works and as the final layer and thus as a finish; in this work, they find ample space to be studied and worked on. Leathers, supplied by the company "Biokimica" based near Florence, of different sizes, shapes, colors, and printed geometries are used; they are folded until the artist achieves the desired shape and then nailed one by one by hand to the wooden board underneath, which is used as a support. The result is a three-dimensional puzzle, where the material used is the main subject with all its colors. The ensemble creates a play of reflections, thanks to both brilliant and opaque colorations that capture the observer and force them to view the work from different angles due to its material three-dimensionality.
