Tears
The Florentine artist Gregorio Codagnone thus denounces the environmental pollution caused by plastic. Every minute, the equivalent of a truck full of plastic ends up in the oceans, causing the death and systematic destruction of every type of living ecosystem.
"I will start a new series of paintings and sculptures to say 'enough' to self-destruction" – the artist begins – The objective is to raise awareness among every inhabitant of the world about this extremely important issue, widely discussed so far but little put into practice.
The artwork, called "Plastic Hell," is made with a rigid plastic sheet, created from the fusion of thousands of bottle caps recovered from the beaches of the Tuscan coast.
Melted by heat and molded to form this sort of "frozen" cry in the desired position. The artist criticizes both the material itself and its processing, as they are also harmful to the environment and all its inhabitants.
