Monument Valley

According to the painter, the work aims to represent the multitude of shades that can be observed when visiting Monument Valley in America; an experience that deeply impacted the painter. It is created on canvas with a quality wooden support, measuring 150x100x3.5cm. Multiple varnishes of different compositions are used: synthetic enamels, water-based enamels, and acrylics; all colors are dripped using the dripping technique or dropped onto a very slippery and brilliant bed of glossy varnish. Similarly, once all layers are dry, the same suicidal varnish is applied again to give a brilliant effect in stark contrast to the white base of the artwork.
