We are looking at a canvas where the artist felt the need to divide the work into three vertical parts. The dripping is thus interrupted on one side of the canvas and promptly resumed on the corresponding side of the next canvas, this happens twice. As in Gothic triptychs, these are references that would be reused over the years.
